Court Marriage Fees in Delhi — What You Pay For

Costs have two parts: government charges, which are set by the authority, and the professional fee of your advocate, if you choose one.

Government charges

The Marriage Officer charges prescribed fees for notice, solemnisation and certificate copies, and an extra fee if the marriage is solemnised outside the office. These are set by the government and can change. We tell you the current charges at the time of your application.

Incidental costs

  • Affidavits and notarisation
  • Photographs and printing
  • Apostille or attestation for foreign documents
  • Travel for the parties and witnesses

Professional fee

Our fee depends on the route, the documentation and any complications such as a previous marriage, a foreign partner or objections. It is confirmed in writing before work begins. Contact us for a quote.

A word of caution

Be careful of very low all-inclusive offers that promise a same-day marriage or a guaranteed date. The Special Marriage Act requires a 30-day notice period.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why don't you list a fixed price?
Because the work differs from case to case, and we do not want to quote a number that turns out to be wrong. We give a clear quote once we know your situation.
